LunaTik + TikTok raises $1 million on Kickstarter

There is a slew of iPod nano-type watches floating around, ever since mankind got the idea of affixing the square-faced iPod nano Apple released this year to a rubber strap.
Then, there is the TikTok & LunaTik, 2 better looking iPod nano concept watches in desperate need of funding to make them a reality on your puny wrist. Today, they did it.
Scott Wilson and MINIMAL’s TikTok+LunaTik designs transform Apple’s iPod nano into cool must-have multi-touch watches and have become the highest funded project in Kickstarter.comhistory – $1 million.
Wilson’s goal right now is to get these kits into Apple stores across the world. For the time being, you can pre-order the kits (iPod nano not included). The TikTok will sell for $34.95, while the LunaTik is available at $69.95. The expected ship date is in January 2011.
Scott Wilson, founder of the MINIMAL design studio, has launched a Kickstarter project to bring his impressive iPod nano watch designs into reality. The company is planning to release 2 different designs under this initiative.
TikTok is a simple snap-in design. It allows the user to easily and securely snap the Nano into the wrist dock. It cleanly and simply integrates the Nano and transforms it into a modern multifunction timepiece.
LunaTik is designed and intended to be a premium conversion kit for someone that wants to dedicate their Nano to being a watch and the newest conversation piece with their friends. It is forged from Aerospace Grade Aluminum and then machined via CNC into its final form.
