Makansutra began life in 1997 with a basic mission to celebrate Asian food culture and lifestyle. It was founded by photojournalist KF Seetoh and it started out as a food guide. CNN calls him the “Guru of Grub” . Today, it has editions in Indonesia, Malaysia, Beijing and Singapore. It also has interests in operating Asian Food Courts and Villages, the Makansutra television series, Web and Mobile Apps, conducting Food Safaris and Culinary Consultancy business.
