Verizon officially launches the iPhone 4 today, catering to the CDMA market predominantly in the United States. The Verizon iPhone uses a CDMA radio as opposed to GSM, and with that comes a new antenna design for the new device. The iPhone 4 for Verizon has four notches in the metal band that surrounds the unit now.
The Verizon iPhone also sports relocated buttons; the volume and mute controls has been ‘pushed’ a bit down from the GSM version. This means that a lot of current iPhone 4 cases probably won’t be an exact fit for the Verizon iPhone. However, third-party manufactures will most likely have compatible cases in stores before the February 10th launch date.
