Songs for Japan album hits iTunes

Mac developers and companies around the world have come together to offer help to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Now musicians are coming together too.


Some of the biggest names in the music business have put together a new album with almost 40 songs. The album costs $9.99 and is available today from the iTunes Store.

Proceeds from “Songs for Japan” will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society to help diaster relief.
The artists, music labels and publishers have all waved their royalties, so as much money as possible gets to the relief efforts.
